Lifestyle Session
11/30/2006

We had an amazing time with Courtey and her mother, Kirsten. We got the referral from the Barker Family who we love. Kirsten is Lorelei’s little sister and we think she is such a cute mother!!! We loved hanging out with them in their home. Their home is filled with some amazing antique gumball machines. We were totally shocked at how awesome it was to see all of those antiques. They have tons of antique gum. Which is totally old and not edible. But, we were even allowed to play with some of the gumballs and gumball machines. Thanks guys!!!

Wedding
11/25/2006

We had a blast at one of our last weddings of the year!!! Steve + Dora were married at the Phoenix Sheraton Crescent. They didn’t disappoint in the emotion and culture of their weddings. Dora comes from an amazing Hispanic background where tons of the family speak Spanish. Steve comes from a Jewish background and where his family was a survivor of the Holocaust. So there was a great mixture of backgrounds and everything was so special. We really felt great to be there!!! And both of the families made us feel so important. Thanks guys for allowing us to document your most special day!!! Congratulations!!!

Some Amazing Details:

Matt had to Sneak this Shot. As you have seen from Dora + Steve’s Engagement Session, Steve is a huge Chicago Cubs’ Fan. His Dad, Jerry Goldring, is a huge Boston Red Sox Fan. Which is ironic because Maddux Fenway Sloan is named after a Cub: Greg Maddux and a Boston Red Sox monument: Fenway Park. (Sorry Steve, I had to do it!!!)

Dora looked very radiant!!!

Dora and Her Father:

Steve was Pretty Calm and said some amazing Words in his toast. His Dad Helped Him get Ready:

By The Way, Jerry was so hilarious and good to us:

The Bridal Party Made up mostly Family (Dora has 12 siblings and Steve has 3 siblings)

Dora walking herself to The Ceremony:

They Had a Rabbi who did a really great job at saying his Words in both English and Spanish:

We Caught Them Catching “A Moment Together” After The Ceremony:

The Reception Had Some Jewish and Spanish Traditions:

While We did Our Slideshow we noticed the letters S + D were right next to each other!!!

Thanks Again Dora + Steve!!!

How About Giving Us as a Gift to Someone Deserving For the Holidays?

Filed under: Portraits — sloanphotographers @ 1:56 am

We just finished out our possible last two weddings of the year 2006 on Saturday night. What a year to be thankful!!! We could of never of dreamed last year, at this time, we were begging people to shoot them. So we thought we need to do something fun and different for those who need some fun family or couple sessions!!! Most of our friends feel that they can’t afford our session, don’t want to spend money for our family and/or lifestyle sessions, or don’t see the need for an updated family 8×10. So we thought, maybe for those who keep up with our blog, know someone who really needs an updated family session. So, we are going to do a little contest for your friends or family who are in a really big need!!! We are going to give 3 free sessions!!! Then we are going to give the other mentioned $50 dollars off any session. This is going to be something fun for anyone. Here are the rules:

1. Anyone can be nominated. But, the nomination has to be from a friend or family member. You can’t nominate your own family. Email us: info@holdontotime.com
2. The person who nominates will get the same $50 off for their own family and so on. You could even gift us and pay for your friends. Trust us, this is going to be worth it.
2. Give the reason why they need a great family session in three paragraphs or more. We need some really deserving stories!!!
3. This could be a large or small family. Couples are free to be nominated!!!
4. We have to schedule these sessions before January 31st.
5. Winners will be posted on the blog with their stories and the person who nominated them.

It’s our hope, that we can think of others this Holiday Season. We really want to do this for anyone and everyone!!! This is going to be really fun!!! We are really excited!!! Please, really think of someone you love!!!

Filed under: News — sloanphotographers @ 5:26 am

In case you have no idea what that is… It’s the most amazing fresh home baked cookie jar with a ton of cookies inside!!! Also, here is the Card they sent with it said:

Family Session
11/22/2006

We had an amazing time in the last few days. We love finding out that people love our blog!!! But we didn’t think that our blog could reach Louisiana. But the Tuft’s found their way to Arizona for Rachel + Nathaniel’s Wedding. Heber, the dad, is Rachel’s brother. He married an amazingly beautiful southern belle, Helen. We were really excited to meet their little boy, Dixon Sterling. He wore a little tuxedo shirt to the wedding yesterday. We even learned that this family lived in New Orleans when Hurricane Kutrina wrecked havoc on the state. We will save their story from their point of view (COMING SOON!!!!) We were just honored to shoot their beautiful family. Thanks Guys!!!

Weakland Family

Lifestyle Session
11/21/2006

We really had a great session with the Weakland Girls!!! My sister, Melanie, works at a animal clinic and so does Allison (Mom). She invited us over to shoot a Lifestyle Session with her girls Emma + Hannah. We were so impressed with how amazing these girls were. They are the perfect type of child to shoot: outgoing, fun, and so cute!!! Too bad Allison didn’t want to be in the photos. But she promised us next time!!! Thanks again for allowing us the fun session.

Budge Family

Lifestyle Session
11/18/2006

We started our Saturday at 6am and got home at around 8pm. We had 3 of our best family sessions today and we are so excited to share them with you guys!!!

The Budge Family was so awesome. We were referred to them by the Barker Family. The Budge Family is cooler than we ever thought. Michelle (Mom) helps an adoption agency and many organizations that assist people with adopting children in need of great families. Steve (Dad) is the head of the language department at Mesa Community College. It was so great to get to know them. Harrison, Allie, Kennedy, Garrett, and Madelin were so much fun!!! Thanks guys for the fun session.
