Cummard Home
“A Year in the Life…” Session
Hudson Cummard was such a perfect little guy for us to do “A Year in the Life…” session. We previously shot a maternity session with his mom, Crystal, and big brother, Jackson. We had a blast!!! This is the second of four sessions. He was so delicate and small. Thanks for the session Cummards!!!

Lifestyle/Family Session
We had another amazing session this week. The Ashton’s were so awesome and amazing. They were one of the three families that won a free session with us. The two boys, Austin (11 yrs. old) and Dallin (7 yrs. old), were so fun to be with!!! They had such a fun spirit which probably keeps mom, Anna, so busy.
They were nominated by Amber Hansen in December 2006 who is one of the sweetest people we know. Here is what she wrote to us:
“I have never met anyone who has been through more than Anna Ashton. I look up to her so much because she’s a rock despite what she’s been through. She reminds me that WE are the “authors” of our own lives. We decide how to handle and react to situations. We choose whether to be happy or miserable in this life. You will see why she’s such an example to me. She lost a 2 month old infant to cancer. She’s been through abusive relationships. She experienced a rough divorce. She risked losing her family because she joined a church she firmly believes in. She’s a single mom raising two boys on her own. She is working on obtaining a bachelor’s degree at ASU and works to support herself and her sons. These boys are sweet as can be, but teenage years are coming up fast and soon. We all know teenage years aren’t easy. Anna is always trying to provide as much as she can for her boys physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her boys ALWAYS come first in her life. I nominated Anna for this contest so that she may have beautiful pictures on her walls in her home so that when the tough get going with her boys through their teen years, she will always remember that they truly do love her and appreciate all that she has sacrificed for them whenever she takes a glance on her walls and sees the true love between her and her boys. The Sloan photographers have an unique talent of being able to capture a photo that can say a thousand words.”
Ashtons, we really want to thank you for this session. We have become so thankful and it’s our hope that through photos, you can see what is really important: Family. We wish you guys so much love and success.

Engagement Session
Downtown Phoenix
We had an amazing session with Natalie and Bryan. Angie has known these two for awhile but I met Natalie at a wedding we shot almost a year ago in her backyard: Carly and Brett’s Wedding (March 10th, 2006). Natalie and Bryan will be tyin’ the knot almost a year after Carly and Brett, March 2nd, 2007. We are so excited for them.
We shot the session on a bike we brought which was so fun and challenging!!! We thank them for being such good sports and only wrecking into a pole once!!! We found some new places to call our photo homes. We really had a blast. Thanks guys!!! Can’t wait for the wedding!!!

The Barkers Home
“A Year in the Life…” Session
We had another amazing session with the Barkers and their little angel Bridget. This is our second session of four total sessions with Bridget in which we photograph “A Year in the Life…” We shot a previous session when she was so tiny. These 4 sessions are so fun and amazing. We have learned already that the first year of a newborn is so precious and they grow and learn so fast!!! So these 4 sessions (maternity, 1 month, 6 months, and 1 year) are meant to remember this forst amazing year.
Bridget is now 6 months and such a cutie!!! Thanks Barkers for inviting us to photograph this session!!!

Vendor Portrait Session
We had an amazing time today with the ladies from Inspirador. We are so excited to get to know them better!!! These ladies are bringing an amazing reception venue to the downtown Chandler, AZ area. It really is going to be something so unique and amazing. We even found that they are receiving tons of inquiries for potential weddings and events for 2007. So if you are still looking for a unique venue, be sure to check them out for a Spring 2007 Wedding.
We can’t wait until we can see some of the final touches to their huge building. We even got a super sneak peek at the building!!! We feel so lucky. But while we viewed the building, we had to shoot a unique session with them.

Fashion Portrait Session
We had an amazing fashion portrait session today with Mele. She was so easy to work with. Thanks for being a perfect model!!!

When we woke up on Tuesday, we were pretty sick of being in our house. Since we have a home office, it’s really sometimes depressing when we work all day 10 feet from where we sleep. Earlier in the month, I really wanted to go to the Sundance Film Festival. But Angie didn’t want to go with me and pretty much made me stay home. Since we have a pretty busy week. So I had to see some snow.
So I asked Angie if we could go get some hot chocolate. She was cool. Then I mentioned in Flagstaff, AZ. So we left early in the day and took our time taking photos of random things. We just took some different routes to Flagstaff. We went through Jerome, Cottonwood, Sedona, then Flagstaff.
We had never been to Jerome. It was really cool. We had lunch at the Haunted Hamburger. It was quaint and delicious.
We took Maddux and our two dogs: Rocko and Bella. It was so fun spending a day with everyone.

Our Final Destination. It was cold enough for Hot Chocolate in Flagstaff.
Well, we are in the process of designing our new Photography Website. We have been slaving away thinking of what looks best and what we want to add in the fututre.
We would love to her your thoughts and what you guys think about the our newest look. We really wanted something clean and simple. We also wanted everyone to see their photos BIG!!! We love seeing big photos on websites. We will be adding some music and our new logo and colors. Be sure to keep an eye out for our new branding. It’s going to be awesome

While I was in California for the busy weekend, I noticed another photographer needed some help with a wedding. I love helping out others. This weekend I helped out Cheri Bradshaw. She is one of the sweetest people I have yet to meet. She kept the day so fun and was so thankful for the assistance.
Jennifer and Sean were so fun. While I was with the groomsmen, Cheri and Will Parris were with the girls. Sean, the groom is from Florida and met Jennifer at Florida State University. Home of the Seminoles!!! I was glad to be a part of the wedding. It made a end to a great weekend.

I had a blast with Nicole and Jeff!!! I was asked to help out Amelia Lyon in shooting her little sister’s wedding. I have been able to get to know Nicole and Jeff through the past year. It was great to see them together. Jeff is still great a reminding me of my Portugues language skills. Even though I can’t speak as well anymore, he is really a great person to be around. Nicole looked amazing and I really enjoyed spending the weekend with them. I wish you the best!!! Thanks Guys!!!
