Wedding

Well, we almost forgot to show you Colleen and Jeremy’s Wedding. Sorry for those who had been waiting.
Colleen and Jeremy are some of the most nice and laid-back couples we have ever met. We always love it when the groom contacts us. We really had a blast at this wedding. The weather was perfect and a little overcast. Which made for some soft-light. We also were able to shoot all of their formal, bridal party, most family, and couple shots before the ceremony which was so great. Then after the ceremony, they had tons of time to say hello to all of their friends and family. It was perfect.

We then went back and enjoyed two fully buried pigs they put in the ground the day before. It was pretty cool and really good.

Day After Session
Mondrian Scottsdale Hotel
So here we are blogging once again. Sorry for those who have waited. I have been kinda struggling with a little itch to take our blog somewhere new and making our images a little different. Which to be honest, will make your photos look even cooler on the blog!
We are always captivated with new locations and ideas. When the James Hotel was changing to the Mondrian Scottsdale Hotel, I was always a little intrigued by the change. When we wondered in there from an engagement session with Almira and Curt (whose wedding we just shot in Jerome/Sedona this past weekend), we have dreamt of the idea of being allowed to shoot their. Which we knew going into this shoot. But, lovely Brad was kind enough to call and get the go since they were spending a pretty good amount with them. While we were shooting for 5 minutes, a security guy came and stopped us. Then 10 minutes later, a office lady came to ask us. Then she came back to say ok. So suffice to say, I never stopped shooting (until our 5D broke again) and was willing to ask for forgiveness before permission.
So thank you Brad and Malia for making my dreams come true on a Wednesday in June.

It’s been pretty great here in Utah. We finally got a small taste of internet connection and it’s been a nice change. Sorry we haven’t written sooner. We are in Utah for a wedding and we’ll be gone until Thursday, June 20th. Rocko + Bella are holding down the fort and we’ll be getting back to all emails and phone calls when we get back. We have limited internet access here on the ranch. It’s gorgeous and good to get away!
I am pretty free tomorrow if anyone wants to get together up here in Utah. We could also try to schedule some family sessions.

Wedding
Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico
So we actually were able to live through a pretty intense 6-7 days in Cancun. We honestly had a blast and spent an amazing time with some truely amazing people. This wedding made us so proud to be a part of something pretty special. Since we have been friends with the Bruenings since Colleen and Chad’s Wedding. And it was also great to get to know the Hamati clan and their friends!
We spent tons of time with everyone and it was pretty warm. But the resort was spectacular. It was all-inclusive which meant that all food and drink was free. The Moon Palace must of had close to 10 different restaurants and it had 3 lobbies, 2 massive pools and an amazing golf course that made me for once in my life want to play. We also made it into downtown Cancun for a night at a club and Alison and Craig’s Day After Session which we will post later.

I meant to post these photos of my Matty on his birthday, but didn’t get to. These are some pictures that were in our wedding video. I scrounged them up and wanted to do a little tribute to Matt. He is so cute!!! Too bad he didn’t stay that way 
Hahaha! J/K. In some photos, Maddux has a small bit of Matty. I’ll post some of my baby photos soon!

Family Session

So we headed on what seems like our bi-monthly retreat to California at the beginning of the month. While we were there, we begged to help Amelia Lyon on her 15-hour Vietnamese Wedding. We were already heading to California beacuse 6 families were all getting together from around the country in Oceanside, CA. So they asked us to photograph all of them together and we were so excited. While we were there we had learned that many of the families were really excited! They honestly had the best kids and for that we were so thankful!
